1. Why we check age

D2F contains adult hookup content and is only for people aged 18 or over. Keeping minors off D2F is a legal and safety priority for us, consistent with the Online Safety Act 2021 (Cth) and Australia's online safety codes.

2. At sign-up

Every new member must enter their date of birth and confirm, by ticking a box, that they are at least 18 and accept our policies. We record the time of that confirmation. Giving a false date of birth breaches these Terms.

3. Photo checks and verification

Main profile photos are automatically checked before they appear. Members can also complete photo verification, where our team compares a live selfie with their profile photos. This shows a member is a real person using their own photos; it is not an age check.

4. Government ID checks

When our team has a specific reason to doubt that a member is an adult — for example a report that they appear under 18, or a profile that cannot be reconciled with its photos — we ask that member to confirm their age using a government-issued document such as a passport or driver licence, checked by a licensed identity provider. The provider reads the document, compares a live selfie against it, and returns a decision.

D2F keeps only the outcome: that age was confirmed as 18 or over, the age read from the document, and the date it was confirmed. The document image is destroyed as soon as the decision returns and is never stored by D2F.

An ID check is never required to join, browse or use D2F. A member who is asked and chooses not to complete one keeps their account and every feature; they simply do not hold an age-confirmed record.

5. If we suspect someone is under 18

Any member can report a suspected minor from their profile. We review these reports as a priority. If we cannot confirm the member is an adult, the account is closed and its devices blocked. Content involving a minor is reported to the police and the eSafety Commissioner.

6. Parents and guardians

If you believe a young person is using D2F, email support@d2f.fun with their display name or profile details and we will act promptly. Device-level parental controls can also block access to adult hookup sites.

7. Changes to age checks

Australian age-assurance requirements are evolving. We may extend ID checks to more members or use additional methods such as age estimation, and will update this policy and tell members before doing so.
